We recommend you to reject the pay offer, which would see us receive less in their pay packet than teachers. Last year the Scottish Government agreed a bigger pay increase for them than that given to other local authority workers. The Scottish Government have again this year found additional money to improve Teachers pay but will not release additional funds to improve the pay of local government workers.
And as colleagues at Dundee City have demonstrated, we are worse off than we were in 2010/2011. For example, if you're on the top spinal point of the LG4 pay grade, you are £3600 worse off!
So please vote to reject this derisory 3% offer from the Scottish Government!
