International Workers Memorial Day is the day throughout the world on which those killed, injured or made ill through work are remembered.
One of the major Sottish events takes place in Dundee. Each year a lecture is organised by Dundee City Council and Workplace Chaplaincy Service.
Lesley Howells, Centre Head and Consultant Psychologist of Maggie's Dundee will give the annual lecture
'Understanding the impact of living with
cancer in and beyond the workplace'.
The lecture will take place on Fridy 1st May 2015 and will start at 12.30pm followed by a finger buffet lunch.
The lecture will take place in The Steeple Church, Nethergate - access by the west door of the tower.
